A clearer picture of your connection.
MapleSpeed helps people understand their internet connection with direct measurements and plain-language explanations.
What you can do here
Run an internet speed test, compare recent measurements, estimate a file’s download time, convert Mbps to MB/s and plan for simultaneous household activities. A guided troubleshooting tool offers practical next steps based on the symptoms you choose.
The website focuses on Canadian search terms and everyday situations, from urban home Wi-Fi to rural broadband. The tools can also run outside Canada. MapleSpeed is an independent service, with no government affiliation or claim of Canadian-only measurement infrastructure.
Independent of internet providers
We are not affiliated with Bell, Rogers, TELUS or any other internet provider. Mentioning a provider explains compatibility, not a commercial endorsement. Cloudflare supplies the network measurement endpoints and open-source test engine; this is a separate website.
How we explain results
Our guides link to primary sources where they cite service requirements. We distinguish those requirements from our own planning estimates. We do not publish invented speed rankings, customer reviews, local server locations or guaranteed performance claims.
Technical explanations and source links were reviewed on 31 October 2026. Service requirements can change. For exact test behaviour, see our measurement methodology. For storage and advertising information, read privacy and advertising.
Use a test as evidence, not a verdict
Wi-Fi, your device, background activity and the route to the server all affect the result. Compare repeated measurements under similar conditions. When a problem persists, your provider or equipment manufacturer can investigate things a web page cannot measure.
